Unlike most domain providers, Cloudflare-managed domains do not allow nameserver changes. Because of this, the standard domain connection method cannot be used.
To support Cloudflare domains, Primeforge offers an alternative connection method that allows our team to sync your DNS configuration directly using Cloudflare's API.
Note: This connection method is currently available only for Primeforge.
Cloudflare domains cannot be connected to Mailforge or Infraforge using this method.
Complete the domain connection flow in the Primeforge UI and finish the checkout process.
Once you've done that, provide one of the authentication methods below so our team can complete the domain sync.
Here is the guide on how to do that: https://help.salesforge.ai/en/articles/10333600-how-to-connect-existing-domains-to-primeforge
Follow until Step 7 here.
This is the recommended method because it allows us to complete the setup with the fewest issues.
Please provide:
Your Cloudflare account email
Your Cloudflare Global API Key
Log in to your Cloudflare account.
Go to My Profile → API Tokens.
Scroll to the Global API Key section.
Click View.
Verify your identity.
Copy your Global API Key and share it securely with our support team.
If you prefer not to share your Cloudflare account email or Global API Key, you can instead create a scoped API Token.
The token must have the following permissions:
Zone: Read
DNS: Edit
The token must also have access to All Zones.
Log in to your Cloudflare account.
Go to My Profile → API Tokens.
Click Create Token.
Select the Edit zone DNS template.
Under Zone Resources, choose All Zones.
Click Continue to summary.
Click Create Token.
Copy the generated API Token and share it securely with our support team.
Domains registered directly through Cloudflare cannot have their nameservers changed. This is a Cloudflare limitation and is why the standard domain connection process does not work.
No. This alternative connection method is currently supported only in Primeforge.
If you're using Mailforge or Infraforge, Cloudflare-registered domains cannot be connected at this time.
We recommend sharing your Cloudflare account email and Global API Key (Option 1), as it provides the smoothest setup experience.
If you prefer not to share those credentials, you can instead create a scoped API Token with the required permissions using Option 2.
