If you have domains managed through Mailforge, Infraforge, or Primeforge and want to move them to another registrar, you can request a domain transfer out.
A domain transfer moves the domain registration from the current registrar to a different registrar of your choice. After the transfer is completed, the domain will be managed outside of Mailforge, Infraforge, or Primeforge.
Before requesting a transfer, make sure you understand how it may affect your current setup.
Transferring a domain out can impact:
DNS management
Mailbox functionality
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX records
Tracking domain records
Domain renewal management
Any campaigns or inboxes using that domain
If the domain is actively being used for sending, we recommend reviewing your DNS and mailbox setup before starting the transfer.
Domain transfers are subject to registrar rules.
In some cases, a domain may not be eligible for immediate transfer, such as when:
The domain was registered recently - 60 days generally
The domain is locked by the registrar
The domain has expired or is in a restricted state
If the domain is not eligible for transfer yet, you may need to wait until the transfer lock period is over.
To transfer a domain out of Mailforge, Infraforge, or Primeforge:
Contact support from your account.
Share the list of domains you want to transfer out.
Confirm that you want to move the domains to another registrar.
Our team will check whether the domains are eligible for transfer.
If eligible, the domains will be unlocked for transfer.
You will receive the authorization code, also known as the EPP code or transfer code.
Use the authorization code at your new registrar to start the transfer.
Complete the transfer process from the new registrar’s side.
The transfer itself is completed through the destination registrar. Once the authorization code is provided, you need to continue the process with the registrar where you want to move the domain.
When contacting support, include:
The product you are using: Mailforge, Infraforge, or Primeforge
The domains you want to transfer out
Confirmation that you want the domains unlocked
Confirmation that you need the authorization/EPP codes
Your destination registrar, if known
Example request:
“I want to transfer the following domains out of Primeforge. Please unlock them and provide the EPP codes.”
Then include the domain list.
Yes. You can request a transfer for specific domains only.
You do not need to transfer all domains in your account.
When contacting support, provide the exact list of domains you want to transfer out.
You can request domain transfer with nameserver update as well. In this case, you will have to provide list of all domains and the nameserver you want on those domain.
If you use this method, the domains will stay with us and just the DNS control will be transferred to the new registrar that you are moving to.
