# How to Change Sending Limits in Salesforge

Step-by-step guide to changing daily sending limits for mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts.

## How to Change Sending Limits in Salesforge

Sending limits control how many actions (emails or LinkedIn actions) each mailbox or LinkedIn account can perform per day. Keeping these limits appropriate helps protect your sender reputation and avoid account restrictions. This article covers how to update sending limits for both mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts.

## Updating Mailbox Sending Limits

There are two ways to update the daily sending limit for a mailbox.

**Method 1: Via Mailboxes tab**

1.  Go to your Salesforge account.
    
2.  Navigate to "Senders & Mailboxes," then click the "Mailboxes" tab.
    
3.  Click on the "Recommendations" column for the mailbox you want to update. A pop up will appear.

4.  In the pop up, update the "Daily (24 Hour) sending limit" field and click "Update."

Note: this change applies from the next scheduled send, not instantly.

**Method 2: Via Sender Profile**

1.  Go to "Senders & Mailboxes," then click the "Senders" tab.
    
2.  Click on the sender profile you want to update.
    
3.  Click on "Email accounts."
    
4.  Click on the space under "Recommendations" across the mailbox for which the limit needs to be updated.

This will open the mailbox pop up, update the daily sending limit and click "Update".

Note: this change also applies from the next scheduled send, not instantly.

## Updating LinkedIn Sending Limits

1.  Go to "Senders & Mailboxes," then click the "Senders" tab.
    
2.  Click on the sender profile.
    
3.  Click on the "LinkedIn account" tab.
    
4.  Under "Action daily limit," update the numbers for each action (View profile, Request connection, Send message, InMail message, Follow contact, Like latest post).
    
5.  Click "Update."

**Voice notes:** LinkedIn voice notes count toward the **Send message** limit. They share it with text messages, and a voice note that reaches the limit waits and goes out when the limit allows. ## Bulk Managing Sender Profiles

Salesforge allows you to update LinkedIn action limits or delete multiple sender profiles at once, saving time when managing several accounts.

### Bulk Update LinkedIn Action Limits

1.  Navigate to **Senders & Mailboxes → Senders**.
    
2.  Use the checkboxes to select the sender profiles you want to update.
    
3.  Click **on settings button that will show up after selecting all**

4.  Set the desired daily limits for the LinkedIn actions.
    
5.  Apply the changes to all selected sender profiles.
    

The same minimum (0), maximum (50), and safety recommendations apply when updating limits in bulk.

### Bulk Delete Sender Profiles

You can also delete multiple sender profiles in a single action.

1.  Navigate to **Senders & Mailboxes → Senders**.
    
2.  Select the sender profiles you want to remove using the checkboxes.
    
3.  Choose the delete option (check image above for reference)
    
4.  Review your selection and confirm the deletion.
    

## When Do LinkedIn Daily Limits Reset?

LinkedIn daily action limits reset at **midnight in the sequence's configured timezone**.

Previously, LinkedIn action limits operated on a rolling 24-hour window, which could delay outreach activities even after a new calendar day had started.

With the updated system:

-   LinkedIn daily action limits reset at 12:00 AM in the sequence's timezone.
    
-   The daily action allowance becomes available again at the start of each new day.
    
-   LinkedIn outreach follows the sequence's configured schedule and daily limits.
    

**Important:** This change applies only to LinkedIn action limits. Email sending limits and sequence conditions remain unchanged.

## What Happens When LinkedIn Temporarily Limits an Action?

If LinkedIn temporarily restricts certain actions, Salesforge automatically manages the pause without stopping your entire sequence.

### Which actions are paused?

When a LinkedIn connection request or profile view encounters a temporary restriction:

-   **Only the affected action type is paused for 6 hours** on that sender profile.
    
-   Other LinkedIn actions, such as messages, InMails, and follows, continue running normally.
    
-   Other sender profiles in the same sequence remain active and continue sending.
    
-   Contacts that haven't yet been assigned to a sender can be assigned to other available sender profiles.
    

### What happens after the 6-hour pause?

Once the pause ends:

-   The affected action automatically resumes without manual intervention.
    
-   Any affected contact is retried when the pause ends.
    
-   Sending continues within the configured daily action limits.
    
-   Salesforge does not send a burst of accumulated actions to compensate for the pause.
    

### What if a contact already has a pending LinkedIn invitation?

If a connection request cannot be sent because the recipient already has a pending invitation, Salesforge retries the connection request for that specific contact only.

This does not pause connection requests for the entire sender profile or affect other contacts in the sequence.

## LinkedIn Action Limits and Safety Recommendations

You can configure daily limits for each LinkedIn action individually within a sender profile.

-   **Minimum limit:** 0 actions per day.
    
-   **Maximum limit:** 50 actions per day for each action type.
    
-   **Automatic adjustment:** If you enter a value above 50, Salesforge automatically reduces it to 50.
    

Salesforge also displays safety indicators based on your configured limits:

-   **Safe:** 30 actions or fewer per day.
    
-   **Potentially unsafe:** More than 30 actions per day.
    

We recommend keeping LinkedIn action limits at **30 or below per action per day** to reduce the risk of account restrictions. These indicators are recommendations, not guarantees against LinkedIn restrictions.
