Leadsforge gives you four distinct ways to build targeted prospect lists — each suited to a different stage or strategy in your outbound workflow. This article walks through what each feature does, when to use it, and how to get the most out of it.
In this article
1. Search by customer profile
2. Lookalikes
3. Followers
4. Enrich CSV file
Feature 1 - Search by customer profile
Find contacts that match your ideal customer profile
This is the core search feature in Leadsforge. Instead of configuring complex filter menus, you describe your ideal customer profile (ICP) in plain language through a chat-style interface — and Leadsforge returns a verified, targeted list of matching contacts from its database of over 500 million B2B contacts.
You can be as specific as you like. Describe the job title, industry, company size, geography, tech stack, or any combination of attributes. The AI interprets your description and queries multiple data sources simultaneously to surface the best matches.
How to use it:
1 Open Leadsforge and select "Search by customer profile."
2 Type a description of your ideal contact in the chat field — for example, "Head of Sales at B2B SaaS companies in Europe with 50–200 employees."
3 Review the generated list. Refine your description in follow-up messages to narrow or broaden results.
4 Select the contacts you want, then export to CSV or push directly to Salesforge.
The more specific your ICP description, the more precise your results. Try including intent signals like "companies currently hiring SDRs" to surface higher-quality prospects.
Feature 02 - Lookalikes
Find contacts similar to your existing clients
Lookalikes lets you use your best existing customers as a template. Paste in a customer's company domain and Leadsforge identifies other companies that share the same profile — matching on factors like industry, company size, tech stack, and growth signals. One strong reference account can expand into hundreds of matched targets.
This is particularly effective when you already have a few anchor accounts with strong product-market fit and want to replicate that success at scale without having to manually research similar companies.
How to use it:
1 Select "Lookalikes" from the Leadsforge menu.
2 Enter the domain or company name of an existing client you'd like to replicate.
3 Leadsforge analyzes that company's profile and returns a list of similar accounts along with key decision-maker contacts at each.
4 Add contacts to a Salesforge sequence or download as CSV.
Use your top three to five customers as separate inputs and compare the resulting lookalike lists to find the highest-confidence targets — companies that appear across multiple lookups.
Feature 03 - Followers
Find people who follow your company or a competitor
The Followers feature surfaces LinkedIn users who follow a specific company page — your own company, a competitor, or any relevant brand in your space. Because these people have already opted in to hear from that company, they represent a high-intent audience who are aware of the category and actively interested in what it offers.
This is one of the most direct ways to reach warm prospects. Rather than cold-targeting people who may have never encountered your space, you're reaching individuals who have already shown an affinity for it.
How to use it:
1 Select "Followers" from the Leadsforge menu.
2 Enter the LinkedIn URL or company name of the company whose followers you want to target.
3 Leadsforge returns a list of followers, ready to enrich with verified email addresses, LinkedIn URLs, or phone numbers.
4 Export or push to Salesforge for immediate outreach.
Competitor followers are often your most receptive cold audience. They already understand the problem your product solves — your messaging can skip the education phase and go straight to differentiation.
Feature 04 - Enrich CSV file
Enrich your existing list with missing emails, LinkedIn URLs, or phone numbers
If you already have a list of contacts — perhaps exported from a CRM, purchased from another provider, or collected at an event — the Enrich CSV feature fills in any missing contact data. Upload your CSV and Leadsforge automatically looks up verified emails, LinkedIn profile URLs, and phone numbers for each record.
Leadsforge uses waterfall enrichment under the hood: if the first data source doesn't return a verified result for a contact, it automatically queries additional sources until it finds one. This means higher match rates and cleaner data compared to tools that rely on a single provider.
How to use it:
1 Select "Enrich CSV file" from the Leadsforge menu.
2 Upload your CSV. Ensure it includes at least a name and company column for best match rates.
3 Choose which data points to enrich: verified email, LinkedIn URL, or phone number. Each email or LinkedIn lookup costs 1 credit; phone numbers cost 10 credits.
4 Download the enriched file or send it directly to Salesforge.
Before uploading, remove duplicate rows and ensure company names are standardised — this improves match accuracy and avoids wasting credits on unresolvable records.
